UEPB’s TRADE INFORMATION & DOCUMENTATION CENTRE (TIDC)

INTRODUCTION


The TIDC provides its clients access to useful and timely trade information for their export and related businesses.

The monthly Trade Information Awareness Bulletin provides bibliographical references of publications acquired by the UEPB Trade Information and Documentation Centre (TIDC) irrespective of their publication dates.

This bulletin aims at assisting our clients, sector associations as well as other trade – related organizations in getting an insight of the relevant trade information materials and sources available at the UEPB – TIDC for their reference.

Services Provided

The TIDC has a well-stocked library of Trade related data and information. It opens from 8:30am- 12.30 and 2:00pm-5:00pm.

The Centre provides information on: - product/sector reports and profiles, country profiles, trade journals, market studies, trade directories and International Commodity Prices of various products among others.

A business Centre service is also provided at a fee.

Users of the library are required to log in a register provided for the purpose and are charged a small user fee to defray administrative costs.

The Staff of the Centre also provide need-based export advisory service or referrals to appropriate sources.

Registration of exporters is an on-going exercise carried out by the Centre’s dedicated staff. Registered exporters are given a Certificate of Registration.

 

Target group
TIDC’s clientele are primarily the existing and potential exporters, farmers, manufacturers, producers, policy makers, students, researchers, importers and the business community at large.

6. Export Registration Certificate Ug. Shs. 40000 per year
7. UEPB Bulletin Registered member –free
8. Hire of LCD Projector Ug. Shs.150,000/- per day
9. Boardroom hire Ug.Shs. 80,000/- per day
